Nickel: Nickel plate is often applied over copper and under chromium for a decorative finish
Wet Paint: Protective layer for metals to prevent corrosion
Powder Coat (Commercial or Industrial Parts Only): Protective layer for metals to prevent corrosion
Black Oxide: Black Oxide is a coating applied to steel. Black oxide has very poor corrosion resistance properties; therefore, an oil, wax or other coating is applied to give the coating some corrosion protection.
Alodine: (Chemical Film, Iridite), is a chromate conversion coating that is applied to the surface of aluminum. It provides corrosion protection and a base for painting. The color can vary from clear to gold or if a darker coat of gold is specified, we can provide upon request.
Electroless Nickel: Electroless nickel plating is an auto-catalytic reaction used to deposit a coating of nickel on a substrate. Unlike electroplating, it is not necessary to pass an electric current through the solution to form a deposit. Due to its exceptional corrosion resistance and high hardness, the process finds wide application on items such as valves, pump parts etc., to enhance the life of components exposed to severe conditions of service ,particularly in the oil field and marine sector. With correct pretreatment sequence and accurate process control , good adhesion and excellent service performance can be obtained from EN deposited on a multitude of metallic and non-metallic substrates.
Anodize Type II (Colors avail): Anodizing substantially increases resistance to corrosion, scratching and wear, provides insulation, maintains high reflectivity, and enhances appearance: coatings are transparent to gray and resist staining. Anodized surfaces can be used alone, or can achieve a variety of color and texture effects through dyeing, electrocolor or interference color.
Passivate: The Passivating process is designed to remove foreign metals, oxides, and corrosion from the surface of stainless and corrosion resistant steels and to promote the natural tendency of the surface to oxidize. The passivating process does not change the appearance of the base metal. The passivating process purifies the surface and therefore improves corrosion resistance. Parts cleaning (Degrease)
